A World Series of Poker (WSOP) teve que cancelar várias etapas da WSOP Circuit, criando então uma competição nos feltros virtuais. Mas isso não quer dizer que o público abriu mão de competir. A WSOP Online Super Circuit Series foi um verdadeiro sucesso, triplicando o garantido inicial e contando com um total de 11.816 entradas espalhadas pelos 18 torneios.
O editor do site PocketFives, Donnie Peters, resumiu em sua conta no Twitter os números gigantescos da série. Com mais de US$ 1,2 milhão garantido, foram distribuídos quase US$ 4 milhões em premiações.

O grande destaque ficou por conta de Matt Stout. O jogador ganhou dois anéis na série, além de chegar em três mesas finais e premiar em seis torneios. Ele faturou um total de US$ 122.389 e ficou em primeiro no ranking da etapa. Com isso, ele garantiu um buy-in no Global Casino Championship de 2020.

Outro que assegurou vaga no evento foi Champie Douglas. Ele foi campeão de um Main Event lotado de estrelas. Com impressionantes 1.134 entradas, o evento principal distribuiu US$ 570 mil em premiações, e Douglas embolsou US$ 130.410. Ele teve que superar nada menos que o campeão mundial Scott Blumstein no heads-up.
Nomes de destaque como Brian Altman, Shankar Pillai e Thomas Lim também ficaram com títulos. O último evento foi vencido por Gage Doyne, que garantiu a segunda maior forra da etapa: US$ 90.600. Confira todos os campeões da WSOP Online Super Circuit Series:

Por mais que existam fortes rumores da suspensão da edição 2020 da WSOP, a organização ainda mantém o evento como programado. Ele será realizado no Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino em Las Vegas, de 26 de maio a 15 de julho.
